When you update tasks groups in the upgrade panel, there should be an option "Do you want these task group updates to be applied to goals where the groups were added?"

Example. My goal has "Task group A" with 4 items added as related tasks. In the panel, I added a 5th item. There should be an option where my goal or any other goal with "Task group A" automatically sees the 5th item added if desired.
